Come to Romania, in the heart of Transylvania, the Land of Shepards. The area is well known for the ancient style of local people, for the beauty of the forests, fresh air and for the natural food. The experience is recommended for those who want to experience the countryside way of living totally different from the villages of the western countries, having a balanced life .You will be living in a Romanian traditional and elegant chalet, by the creek and very close to the tranquility of the virgin forests.
The owner has gained in 2005 the national award for "The Most beautiful Holiday House in Romania for 2005" and has as hobby the creation ofunique houses.
 
HOUSE DETAILS:
 
 
The house was built in 2008 in the traditional romanian style, It is made of wood and the basement is made of stones. It has its own well and the water is microbiological pure and with healthy PH. It has also the option of water from the community.

The basement lies under the whole house, this meaning that it is big and can be used as a wine cellery, a media or game room or it can be used in any way we can imagine, as it is heated , too. The central heating is localized in the basement and it is based on wood. The house has 2 types of central heating - the central heating on wood and another one, on electricity. The puffer attached to the Wiessmann central heating on wood has 1000 l and helps as a buffer for the heating. This makes the house proper for both a residence as well as a holiday house.

The stove in the inside kitchen is on induction. The electricity is 3 phase so the cost of electricity is low.
The house has 210 sqm, 5 rooms, a dinning room, an open kitchen and 3 bathrooms, 2 with a bathtub and 1 with a shower. It was totally renovated at the end of 2013. In the present moment 3 of the 5 rooms are used as bedrooms, one it is used as the office and another one as a very spaceouse wardrobe. The floor is made of hardwood and in 2 bedrooms it is covered by carpet.
There is a monumental fireplace on wood in the dinning room which can be used for relaxation as well as for heating the house.
The attic is half renovated and can be finished as an open space, in case the owner wants a supplimentary space for living.
The house has 4 very big terraces , 2 in the front and 2 at the back of the house, situated at the ground and first floor.

The land has around 700 sqm and consists of the garden and the outdoor kitchen.
The outdoor kitchen has a countertop made of granit, a stove on gas, a sink with both warm and cold water, a grill on wood or coil and a traditional owen on wood constructed in the Romanian style.
The garden is very well mantained , full of different kind of flowers and wooden sculpures. There are several fruit trees - 2 types of apple trees, 1 pear tree, 1 plum tree , 1 cherry tree and 1 sour cherry tree.
The garden is lighted by the several oudoor lights situated all along the wooden fence.
It is suitable for active people as well as for more layed back style of life, for families with children as well as for people who want to have a job/ business in town or a "Bed & Breakfast" business of their own.

The house is situated in a safe area, close to the forest, in a quiet area, with few neighbours. It is the best place to live a balanced life as it is near to one of the most famous cities in Romania, as well as in a calm and relaxing environment.
There are some mini-markets in the village well managed where you can find everything you need from food to usual items.
There are local farmers who sell natural products - eggs, cheese, milk, homemade bread, wine or spirits.
The neighborhood offers you the opportunity to explore one of the most emblematic rural regions of Romania as a local. Cheese tasting, hiking in the beautiful Carpathian forests and exploring the local traditions are just a few of the activities you can do here.

Our location is situated at only 25 mins. away (of driving) from Sibiu - the European Cultural Capital in 2007 - a city that combines both gothic and baroque architecture with modern cultural events.
The location is 23 km (16 miles) far from Sibiu (Hermannstadt), in the center of Romania, giving the perfect balance between peace and action. It is only 3 km far from DN1 and the newly constructed Romanian highway from east to west . just 20 minutes far from the house it may be found the best Spa/Swimming/Sport/ Clinic Center in Sibiu, with a wide variety of enterntainment and medical care.

Since 2016 it acts also as a small Bed@ Breakfast with 2 out of the 6 rooms, ranked by Booking.com as "fabulous/excelent" with a 9.2 ranking."
